Please do not hesitate to contact us at this address with any questions or concerns you have regarding your submission.
Student Papers: Non-Boalt Students
The Berkeley Journal of International Law does consider papers written by students for publication in the Journal. We will only accept papers written while the student was in a law or other advanced degree program. Graduating law students may submit papers up to three months after graduation. Please note that we publish non-Boalt student papers only very rarely as they compete alongside pieces submitted by professional lawyers and academics. You may feel free to accompany your submission with letters of support from advising faculty.
Please submit by e-mail to bjilsubmissions@gmail.com. In addition to the article, the author should include his or her current CV and an abstract of the article. Please include all contact information for the author(s), including email and phone. Citations should conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (Columbia Law Review Ass'n et al. eds., 18th ed. 2005).
Student Papers: Boalt Students
BJIL gladly accepts papers written by Boalt students. We endeavor to review each Boalt student submission anonymously. To facilitate this process we have special submission procedures for Boalt students. Please submit your papers in Microsoft Word or PDF format to contactbjil@gmail.com. Please entitle the submitted file with your paper title and remove all identifying information from the document. Place the phrase "Boalt Student Submission: [your title here]" in the subject heading of the email, and include your complete contact information in the body of the message.
