BJIL works closely with other organizations at Berkeley Law to foster and cultivate a dynamic and tightly knit international legal community. Through collaborative efforts, this group of organizations embodies the greater community of students, faculty, and alumni engaged in the area of international law.

The Miller Institute for Global Challenges in the Law

The Honorable G. William & Ariadna Miller Institute for Global Challenges and the Law (GCL) forges collaborations with diverse constituents to address pressing international challenges. Its work is guided by a strong resolve to empower those who have inequitable access to power, resources, and justice.  To this end, it strives to support and reform political and legal structures that promote human welfare.

The Boalt Hall Committee for Human Rights ("BHCHR") was founded in 2004 by a small group of Berkeley Law students in order to foster and create a community of students interested in human rights at Berkeley Law. Its guiding principles are to foster & create a community of students interested in human rights issues, domestic and international; connect students interested in pursuing careers in human rights with other law students, practitioners and professors; engage in human rights projects; and raise awareness and educate the community on human rights issues.
