Financial Aid
Makes recommendations to the Dean with respect to Boalt's financial aid policies including the Loan Repayment Program (LRAP).

Teaching and Curriculum
Considers faculty proposals related to teaching and curriculum. The committee considers proposals to (1) improve the format of teaching evaluations, (2) publish the results of teaching evaluations, (3) revamp the first-year electives.

Clerkship
This committee works with the Career Development Office (CDO) to promote entry of Boalt students into federal and state judicial clerkships. The committee will continue its work to develop a program to create student interest in clerking, inform students of relevant procedures, and counsel them on clerkship opportunities.

Teacher Evaluations Steering Committee
This committee was created by BHSA to research and implement ways of getting the teacher evaluations published.
Academic Placement
Promoted entry of Boalt students into legal academia. Developed programs to create student interest in teaching, gathered names of interested students and recent graduates, and advised students and recent graduates about entering the teaching market. Prepared a list of potential faculty candidates to be circulated to appropriate schools.
Academic Rules:
Served as a resource for the Dean of Students for interpreting the Academic Rules. Examined proposed revisions or additions to the Rules and makes recommendations to the faculty for final action.
Technology
Advised the dean on various policy issues concerning acquisition and use of computer and other technologies in the Law School. The committee considered (1) addition of AC power to individual seats in the large lecture rooms, (2) addition of AV capacity to the large lecture rooms, (3) addition of capacity for access to data in the large lecture rooms, and (4) whether to install or integrate a "student server" for boalt.org.
Office Space Taskforce
Ad hoc taskforce formed to advocate on behalf of student journals and organizations when plans were proposed to move these groups to off-campus locations. The task force worked with the administration and ensured that all student journals and student organizations remained housed at Boalt. The task force played a critical role in planning the temporary move of journals and groups into the Hearst Annex in 2008 and their eventual return to Boalt in the new Student Center in the Spring of 2009.
